Their zone-based pricing model — with 47 custom rate zones and variable surcharges based on parcel dimensions — could not be accurately quoted by any off-the-shelf system. Dispatchers were pricing jobs manually from a printed rate card. Drivers had no mobile app for proof-of-delivery — they were photographing paper slips and texting images to the office. The solution.
We designed and built a custom dispatch and operations platform comprising a web application for dispatchers and a React Native mobile app for drivers. The dispatcher portal handles quote generation with the full zone and surcharge logic, job assignment, real-time driver tracking, and automated customer notifications. The driver app provides turn-by-turn navigation, digital proof-of-delivery with photo and signature capture, and real-time status updates. All delivery events are logged with timestamp and GPS coordinates, creating an irrefutable audit trail for dispute resolution.
